Karla and Gary Adolphe: Arts Missionaries

Karla Adolphe, Gary Adolphe and Caleb Friesen have been building bridges for some time now.

As folk-roots duo “Jacob and Lily”, Karla and Caleb have toured the country with their unique blend of folk-roots and an intense passion to impact people’s lives through their art and through relationships.

As Smallgate Ministries, Karla and Gary have committed themselves to serving the Kingdom of God as Arts Missionaries, building relationships with many in arts communities around North America, and living by faith as they do so (all in a 35 ft RV and a homebase of Winnipeg).

Urban Bridge got so excited about what they are doing that we decided to put our money where our mouth is. We have committed to supporting these arts missionaries financially each month. As we seek to build bridges in relevant, meaningful ways, we feel Karla, Gary and Caleb provide a blueprint that many more in our community can follow. The three have become a bit of our extended family, often stopping home for visits.
