6:30 pm

Interface Worship and St. Paul’s Anglican will mark Holy Saturday with The Rending of the Veil, an indigenous alternative worship service on Saturday, April 3. Doors will open at 6:30 pm for quiet reflection; the service will be from 7:00 to 8:45 pm. 10127-145 Street. Drawing on the theology of Alan Lewis, we will stand in the borderlands between Good Friday and Easter Sunday… looking forward, and looking back. Holy Saturday both separates and joins the two most important days in the Christian calendar: the separation giving each day its full import, the joining giving each day its full context. This service will include poetry by Mark Polet, prophetic painting by Lori Kelly, music lead by Kathleen Pate, the Altarwalk devotional exercise, meditative time, open art tables, and the extensive use of original symbols, rituals, and imagery.
